Working condition of Healthcre workers is of paramount importance. In Ghana, there is lack of comprehensive research on the working conditions of PAs. Understanding the working conditions of PAs is essential for ensuring their job satisfaction, retention and ultimately improving the quality of healthcare services they provide. There is the need therefore to investigate and analyze the working conditions of PAs in Ghana. The study adopted qualitative research design and it targeted PAs with at least a year experience in primary healthcare facilities in Bono East region. A total of sixteen (16) participants responded to the interview until saturation. Inductive Thematic Analysis method was used in analyzing the data using a content analysis. The study found that, PAs are generally unsatisfied due to low wages, lack of professional growth and lack of recognition by their regulatory body. Also, the PAs do not feel safe in their working environment due to threat from snakes, mosquitoes as well as sharp injuries and biological pathogens. [DO1] They also lack some basic Personal Protective Equipement and other logistics they need to work with. The study concluded and recommended that, government should invest more in the profession in terms of training and motivation of Physician Assistants inorder for them to give off their best and also resource the health centres that mostly is the only health facility in most of the districts, sub- districts and communities.
