The study aimed to assess the leadership styles employed in the selected rural banks in the Western North Region. The quantitative data were gathered from 47 staff Amenfiman, Upper Amenfi, and Sefwiman rural banks using survey questionnaires. The study employed the stratified random sampling technique in selecting the respondents. The descriptive survey design was used. The partial least squares structural equation modeling technique was used to analyze the main objectives of this study using SMART PLS version 3.3. The results revealed that democratic, charismatic, transformational, laissez-faire, transactional, and autocratic leadership styles were prevalent among the managers of the selected rural banks in the Western North region. It was also found that the leadership style significantly influences employees' performance in selected rural banks. Furthermore, the study found that there is a lack of empowerment among the staff, there is over-reliance on the leader for guidance and supervision, employees feel hesitant to express their ideas, stifling creativity and innovation, and also involving employees in decision-making is time-consuming. It is recommended that management should continue to improve upon the democratic leadership style by constantly ensuring representativeness or organizational cohesion.
