Anthony Q. Q. Aboagye is Professor of Finance in the Department of Finance, University of Ghana Business School. He is a former Head of the Department. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses and supervises undergraduate long essays, masters long essays and MPHIL and PhD theses. He researches extensively in the areas of banking; financial markets; healthcare finance; economic growth; project finance and derivative securities among others. He chairs the University of Ghana Business School’s Research and Conferences Committee and also the editor of the School’s journal, African Journal of Management Research. Professor Aboagye is an active consultant. He has consulted extensively for the public and private sectors in Ghana. His recent assignments include a comprehensive study of the financial sector regulatory framework, financing infrastructure provision in Ghana, reviewing the National Pensions Regulatory Authority’s investment guidelines, and stress testing bank loan portfolios in Ghana. Before joining the University of Ghana, he worked in Canada as head of a life skills and microcomputer training centre and also as a personal financial planner. He earned his PhD in Finance from McGill University. He also holds an MBA from the University of Toronto, MA from York University, Canada and B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Ghana.
